Abstract: Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) or Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG): The GTAW process is a very versatile, all-position welding process that is widely used to join Ni-/Co-base alloys. In GTAW, the heat for welding is generated from an electric arc established between a non-consumable tungsten electrode and the work-piece.

Abstract: Each company wants to be able to make the most of the resources available tothem. Often when out of turn orders are expected or a sudden surge in volumeis likely to hit after a lean patch, the first reaction is to increase capacity, increase productivity at any cost. Usually, this hits the pockets a bit hard andaffects the usually bottom line. There isn’t enough time to think about andknow for sure if we are using the resources we have to the hilt. More often thecase is lack of enough data on the utility of resources. How much are themachines used, how many hours did the welder actually weld on the job.Sometimes you are doing a critical job and the customer wants to know exactlywhat parameters, welding consumables have been used to do the job. How farhas the job progressed? How are you ensuring that the WPS is being followed?
Abstract: GMAW is a complete arc welding process. It is equipped to createall types of joints of desirable quality involving virtually all metals of anythickness in any position. However, in doing so there are parametric shifts inarc gap or load characteristics. Change in materials such as shielding gas, weldmetal and work piece etc. influence the operating point of the process. Moreover, the controller needs to ensure smooth starting, normal operation andalso its stopping where multiple dynamic activities such as melting rate, droplettransfer, re-ignition post short circuit and spatter rate are optimized. It is idealfor end users if one controller or equipment can have grip of control overactivities of entire process. This article explores practicability criteria ofpopular PI and SMC control ideas to inclusively achieve control over completeprocess requirement of GMAW to cater its application prospects
Abstract: Thanks to the Induction Cookware, the concept of Induction is now fairly well known. Induction is a method by which heat is generated directly inside the metal, it is not radiated or conducted but Inducted. What this means is that you can heat a specific part of the object without affecting the surroundings too much.
Abstract: Pro Series is an innovative design of welding inverters conceptualized to meet the demanding requirements of quality welding, reliable performance and driving the productivity. The unique design is based on modular technology and high speed communication. The power sources operate at a 150 KHz, meaning it can react in 6.7 micro seconds, ensuring best quality

Abstract: One of the key challenges in Automating GTAW is the consistency of fit up and ovality of the work piece / joint. As when the torch is fixed and the job is rotating any change in the tungsten to work piece will result in a change in voltage. As the distance reduces the voltage reduces and if the distance increases so does the voltage. Any change in voltage can result in inconsistence weld penetration.

Abstract: Today if you have to manufacture Stainless Steel , alloy steel, titanium vessels which are 6 to 8mm thick, the material needs to be welded in multiple passes. First of all the surface needs to be edge prepared , that means grinding or bevelling of the plates throughout the length, then the fit-up, root pass, hot pass and then multiple passes till the capping is achieved. Even when we weld this in automation we have to keep the inter pass temperatures in mind and allow the time in between passes to ensure the temperatures do not exceed the interpass limit
Abstract: TIP-TIG welding is a new advanced innovation of the common GTAW Process. This process uses new, Patent pending technology [TiP-TiG), that delivers the highest possible weld energy with the lowest possible weld heat, all while still being user friendly.
